International Perspective with eLearning in Saudi Arabia

In partnership with NELC, the Online Learning Consortium (OLC), and us at the National Research Center for Distance Education and Technological Advancements (DETA), we designed and developed the instrumentation in 2020 for the studies of online learning to understand the impact of COVID-19 resulting in the reports: 1.) The State of Online Learning in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: A COVID-19 Impact Study for K-12, 2.) The State of Online Learning in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: A COVID-19 Impact Study for Higher Education.

Additionally, we designed and developed studies and instrumentation, performed analyses, drafted findings, and identified recommendations for a 2021 study of online learning found in the reports: 1.) Higher Education Online Learning in Saudi Arabia, and 2.) K-12 Online Learning in Saudi Arabia.

These survey instruments went to all parents, educators, and administrators in the KSA in K-12 and Higher Education.  We are hoping to make these instruments available to our community in our upcoming instrument database.
